Second Interview poster released
Posted by Mona - No CommentsWith affection and thanks to Cinematical for the posting the exclusive. This is straight from Sony Pictures Classic. Interview hits theatres July 13.

July 13th! Can you stand it?! I simply cannot stand it.
Can’t go wrong with Paris

Probably the funniest segment, “Tuileries,” comes from Joel and Ethan Coen and stars one of their favorite players, Buscemi, as an American tourist who breaks one of his guidebook’s cardinal rules while waiting on the Metro platform (”Eye contact should be avoided!”). Just the extreme close-ups of his expressive mug are good for a laugh, but then the situation becomes hilarious as it steadily grows more violent.
Let’s stop for a moment here. A project, consisting of 18 short films from some of the world’s top directors, featuring some of the world’s best actors? Sign me up, and soon. In Paris, Je T’aime, you’ll see Steve Buscemi (of course), Sandino Moreno, Nick Nolte, Maggie Gyllenhaal, Gina Rowlands, Natalie Portman, Elijah Woods… and the trailer will completely hook anyone who isn’t already salivating for more.
It’s not sexy or stylish or glamorous or any of the things you might assume Paris would be before going there. But of all the segments that comprise the film, it comes the closest to depicting honestly what it feels like to fall in love.
And really, who wouldn’t want a reminder of that? [Source]
Interview trailer, Delirious too.
Posted by Mona - No CommentsClick over to the VodPod sidebar widget or see here for a (tampered with but usable) trailer for Interview. I know I’ll enjoy this movie despite Sienna Miller, but I’ve got a strong and certain feeling I’m going to like Delirious much better.
And to further prove that I am in no way a biased reporter, please partake of this bonus festival trailer for the upcoming film Delirious. I know the original trailer kind of sucks in quality, so hopefully this will make up for it.
Buscemi: better than them

Airheads: It’s worth watching just to see Buscemi humping a microphone stand. Like any movie, the actors have either rocketed to fame or faded into oblivion. Hey, that’s showbiz.
This is the first movie I saw featuring Buscemi and Adam Sandler together, and thus began my years-long love affair with the latter that almost trainwrecked with Punch Drunk Love. Fortunately, he rediscovered how to pick a script with Spanglish and we’ve since fired back up the furnace, so to speak.
Obviously I have excellent taste in men, since the careers of everyone else in Airheads has, umm… gone to the wayside, shall we say. This of course excludes Chris Farley, RIP. To the rest of you, see you on Lifetime!
1-900, Blind Date directors announced
Posted by Mona - No CommentsAs we all know, Interview is part one of a remake trilogy of films originally directed by Theo van Gogh. The trilogy order is: Interview, Blind Date and 1-900, which is currently a very new project. John Turturro is slated for 1-900, which tells the story of two lost souls who connect via a phone sex line; 06 is the original title. Blind Date will be directed by Stanley Tucci and begins filming May 25. [Source]
It is interesting to note that John Turturro had a role in Romance and Cigarettes alongside Buscemi, and both Turturro and Tucci had parts on the TV show Frasier. All three men are actors more often than directors and have enjoyed careers that span over 20 years.
Delirious movie posters

I snagged this from IMPAwards. Personally, I like the first version… but I don’t particularly care which they use officially so long as it’s plastered all over my local film house soon. If you haven’t watched the trailer, seriously, do yourself a favor and view it. This movie looks outstanding. I am highly impressed with DiCillo right now.Click the second image to view a larger size - the first doesn’t come any bigger, apparently.
Delirious still rocking, apparently
Posted by Mona - No CommentsSan Fransisco has been all over Delirious since Day 1, and now comes news that it’s due in theatres in September! I can’t find much info on who bought DiCillo’s latest, but it was screened to a huge crowd at The San Francisco International Film Festival recently and was very well received, as usual. It’s been running at a perfect 100% at Rotten Tomatoes for months now, all early reviews being insanely positive.
I was finally able to track down a copy of the Delirious trailer. Click here to watch it, or view it embedded on the Vodpod.
Interview premiers
Posted by Mona - No CommentsInterview premiered Monday in Theo van Gogh’s home city of Amsterdam. The film is a re-make, directed by and starring Buscemi, and tells the story of a has-been journalist and a beautiful starlet he’s made to interview (imagine that), played by Sienna Miller.
Van Gogh, the movie’s original director, was killed in 2004 by Muslim extremists. There were stories of death threats on the set, but those proved to be false. Interview will open across the Netherlands on Thursday, and will premier in North America later this summer. [Source]

EEE!
Posted by Mona - No CommentsApparently when I wasn’t looking, this site hit 1,000 unique visitors. Anywhere from 10-30 people read the feed each day. The companion MySpace page has 232 friends and over 1,600 page views. I haven’t been sued yet!
Lookin’ good around here. Stats like that make it all worthwhile.
