Igor Goodies

Just days before its cinematic debut, here are three new clips from the delightful looking Igor, via Worst Previews.
Clip 1: We meet Fredrick, a gentleman evil scientist that vaguely reminds me of an ex boyfriend, swimwear and all.
Clip 2: “I’d rather be a good nobody than an evil somebody.” I sense a movie moral! Also, Igor makes delicious tea.
Clip 3: Scamper! What else could you possibly need to know?
The Igor premiere was September 13, and while my invitation clearly got lost in the mail, Tara Met Blog was right there on the purple (purple) carpet ready for interviews and photo-ops. Here’s the interview video, with Buscemi popping up at 2:45 to answer an poorly-researched question. I can’t tease her too much, since Buscemi apparently only remembers voicing Monsters, Inc. Oh well. Stick around for the cute kid afterward. I think he’s the same one that was in Tropic Thunder.
Igor comes out nationwide on September 19! Here’s a purple carpet premiere photo to tide you over.
Hands on Igor (The Game)

In the Wii and PC versions, you’ll have the opportunity to choose from four of the main characters (Igor, Eva, Scamper, and Brain) either by yourself, or with four of your closest friends. Each player will enjoy real environments from the film while battling enemies and goals to advance through the story-line.

Entertainment Weekly: New Classic 100

EW apparently pulled its head out of the collective Celebrity ass and realized the most entertaining thing about any of these schmucks is their art. (Or “art”, depending on who we’re talking about.) EW has published a lovely list of new classic movies, plus a bunch of extra stuff as fluffer.
Steve Buscemi + a woodchipper + the pure white snow of 1996’s Fargo = arguably the most hilarious ooky death on film.
See all 100 New Classics over at EW.com. My favorite? Goodfellas, of course (#13). The Soprano’s scores a hit for Perfect TV Theme Song and Fargo, quotes above, scores #35 on the Top 100. Well earned, I say, but ‘Office Space’? At #73 Are you fucking kidding me? That movie was talent. Way more than ‘Toy Story’, anyway.
Diablo Cody has a Buscemi fetish

Steve Buscemi is ‘Good’!

Even snippy modern fem-bloggers love B. Jezebel covered The Visitor screening last night in NYC and placed Buscemi and partner Stanley Tucci in the ‘Good’ category for the evening. Other thumbs up went to Blythe Danner and Patricia Clarkson, while three women I don’t recall hearing of were bad and poor Griffin Dune was the sole ‘Ugly’.
And just in case: Bromance - noun 1. A non-sexual relationship between two men that are unusually close.
They really are just sooo cute though, aren’t they?
Big Lebowski ringtone

My current ringtone, thanks to this guy. It took me a half hour to track down this exact clip. Now my iPhone chirps up with Buscemi and Bridges every time I get a call. The sounds are hosted on this site, but all credit goes to the creator.
Donny: Where ya’ going, Dude?
Dude: Home, Donny.
Donny: Phone’s ringing, Dude.
Dude: Thanks, Donny.

Dude: Thanks, Donny.

Win a Chuck and Larry prize pack
Posted by Mona - No CommentsThis outrageously funny comedy tells the story of a tough fire fighter who finds himself as part of one very unlikely couple when he agrees to help his best buddy out.
If you know the answer to the brain busting trivia question (’Which actor plays Chuck Levine?’), you can have a chance to win a Chuck and Larry prize pack: a DVD, a red and black branded bag, a hoodie and an apron and glove set. Exciting! I haven’t seen the movie yet, but yay! Click here to enter. Your deadline in February 10, 2008.
Another ugly list!

… only this time, he is sitting pretty at #3. Now that’s more like it. From the comments:
I like Steve Buscemi. He’s fast becoming an actor I will watch an otherwise crappy movie for. I read somewhere that he is actually much nicer looking in person than he is on film.
I think Buscemi is one of the best actors around and I, too, would watch a film just because he is in it.
Steve Buscemi is definitely the most talented on on this list.
Steve Buscemi is excellent.
See, kiddies? It’s true: looks aren’t everything. [Photo credit]
Animated Steve

So the focus of today’s TISB activities was editing down screen caps from Ed and His Dead Mother. I get a little overzealous with the capture button sometimes, which leads to the photo above. Maybe it’s time to get off the computer and take a nice, long walk.
Four word film reviews
Posted by Mona - No CommentsFour Word Film Reviews follows my philosophy on life: get to the point and then shut the hell up.
Buscemi drills his part.
Prisoners find respect, sex.
Midget quits bad movie.
66 Buscemi films are reviewed, from 28 Days (Bullock’s an Absolut disaster!) to Trees Lounge (Steve Booze-scemi.) This website is surprisingly addicting with some greatly amusing quips.
