Perhaps you’re wondering, ‘Gosh! How can I enjoy a summer blockbuster event when Buscemi’s next movie isn’t out for weeks?’

Hey, I’m here for you. I just so happened to notice that the highly anticipated Transformers (IMdb) flick, featuring the one and only Mr. John Turturro, is set to open July 3. You might remember him from such Steve-centric hits as Romance and Cigarettes, Mr. Deeds and The Big Lebowski. He is also directing the final movie of the van Gogh trilogy, 1-900. (Interview was the first, Blind Date the second.) Being a child of the 80’s, I know a thing or two about the Transformers. Everyone I know is really freaking out about this one, and chances are I’ll ignore my own mixed feelings and check it out once the crowds die down.

But, since this website is not called The Illustrious John Turturro, I am very happy to again remind you that Interview will slide onto the big screen July 13. I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry is still up for it’s July 20 release date and Delirious will be around shortly after, with a limited release on August 15. (Just in time for my birthday, well planned!)

Quite a full plate for us this summer, I’d say.
