Tom DiCillo wraps it up

It is no secret how much I just adore Tom DiCillo, he of the flowing hair and great bone structure and boyish grin and… oh yeah, the string of amazing films over his long and - dare I say - illustrious career. Tom started a blog months ago, diligently recording what life had been like leading up to Delirious, his latest film with Steve Buscemi. That’s how I became aware of what an impressive writer he is, and a funny, charming and (amazingly) patient man. That is, after my initial irritation faded.

Yet every story has an ending, and violins for us all. On this most melancholy day of October 4, 2007, Tom has announced he will stop living in the past and start looking to the future. However, DiCillo has openly expressed an interest in working with Buscemi in his next big hit (Cough, Americana, cough), making this not so much a ‘goodbye’ as a ’see you later.’

Hurry up already.
